Live Online Classroom Set Up & Orientation
Getting your computer ready and familiarizing yourself with Manhattan LSAT's Live Online Classroom is easy. Just follow these three steps:
1. Install Java Web Start
Click here to be taken to a support page within Elluminate and test your system's configuration. If you see the 'check mark' beneath Step 1, then you already have Java installed on your system.
If you do not see the 'check mark', or your current version of Java is 1.5 and lower, then navigate to http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp to download and install Java for your operating system.
Note: Elluminate requires version 1.5 or higher to operate properly.
2. Install Elluminate Live
To install Elluminate Live!, proceed to Elluminate's support page and click the 'Configuration Room' link in Step 2.
If you already have Elluminate Live! installed on your machine, you will immediately be taken into the configuration room where you can configure your audio settings.
If you do not have Elluminate installed, then you will be prompted for the installation first.
3. Get Acquainted with Manhattan LSAT's Classroom
Click here to watch an introductory video. Afterwards, you can go back to the configuration room from Step 2 and explore all the features.
1. Invalid Argument Error
Your Internet browser's cache is too full for Elluminate's client to download its resource files. You must clear your browser's cache first.
Internet Explorer - Click 'Tools' --> 'Internet Options' --> 'Delete Files'

2. Corrupted JAR File, Unable to Load Resource, Connection Failed, Direct Call to "server name" Failed. Server is not a JINX Server
One or all of the resource files that the Elluminate client uses are either missing or corrupted. You will need to clear the Java Web Start cache to initiate a new download of JAR files. Double click Java in Windows's Control Panel. Click 'Delete files'.
NOTE: If you received a 'Connection Failed' message, then first ensure that your internet connection is active by opening up an internet browser and visiting any random site, such as Elluminates main page
FURTHER NOTE: The download of JAR files may have been corrupted or blocked due to passing through a Proxy or Firewall. If you are at a work site or on a campus location, please contact your Network's Administrator for assistance in this matter. If you are at home or a residential location, then contact techsupport at techsupport@manhattanlsat.com

4. I keep getting disconnected from the session
Elluminate may be sending information to your computer faster than it can handle. Some causes of this are Brief Internet Outage, Wireless Connection (unstable connection), Network slow down or congestion (could be on either your own or your ISP's network)
Lower your connection speed in the Elluminate client.
Session --> Connection Speed (select one lower than "Cable/DSL")
For a Windows PC
For a MAC:
You also need
1. To be connected to the Internet. No additional phone line is needed.
2. Computer speakers: the LIVE audio portion of the workshop can only be heard through the speakers on your computer. Make sure the computer that you will be using has working speakers. If you are registered for a nine-session prep course or private instruction package, Manhattan LSAT has sent you a headset with your welcome kit and materials. This device has two jacks - one for the mic and one for the headphone; these jacks should be plugged into the appropriate ports on your computer.
