The Three Sections

The numbers are a bit confusing – the LSAT is a five-section test where only four count, and there are only three types! But, what many people want to know is “which section is the hardest?” Clearly, that depends on each person’s strengths and weaknesses. However, there are some common trends:

  • The Logic Games section can be the most intimidating when first meeting the LSAT, but for most people is the easiest one to improve upon.
  • The Reading Comprehension section usually receives the least attention, and can be the hardest to improve upon without a practical strategy and some will to adjust how one reads.
  • Since two of the scored sections are Logical Reasoning, an improvement in this section is worth double the effort! Furthermore, improving in this section often helps your success in the reading comprehension section.
