New Orleans’ top chef Mauve Maude is working on a new Jambalaya recipe as she studies for the LSAT. The Jambalaya must include exactly 4 of the following seven ingredients: garlic, ham, onions, peppers, rice, shrimp, tomatoes. Each ingredient will be treated in one of three ways – marinated, nuked, or fried – before being added. The recipe must adhere to the following rules:
1. Which one of the following is a possible list of ingredients, listed with the manner in which each ingredient is prepared?
(A) rice: marinated; shrimp: nuked; ham: nuked; garlic: fried
(B) tomatoes: nuked; garlic: marinated ; shrimp: nuked; ham: fried
